More parents seem to realize recently that children’s curtains add a certain ornamental part to a room that other room decorations can’t add. Curtains that come in certain designs or patterns help complete the look you would like your youngster’s room to have or the look your kid wants his or her room to have.

Some of the design suggestions for your children’s curtains can come from your child and what he wants the room to appear like or you can create their room around a theme with the curtains adding to the completeness of such a theme. Here are some proposals you may wish to try with your child’s window treatment and curtains.

Candy colored Room. You can make your girl’s room look candy colored with the employment of candy colors like licorice red, cotton candy pink and lemon drops yellow for their curtains. You can then go with these same colours and decorate the room with the same shades and buy sheets and throw pillows in the same colors also.

TV Character Curtains. There are plenty of fabrics these days that come printed with cartoon characters and television characters that your children may love. You may have casual curtains and sheets made from such fabrics and surprise your youngster with it. There are some sheets and pillow sets that can already be bought with these designs, too and all that you need to do is to come up with the curtains to enhance them with.

Hand Painted Curtains. You can try and make your children’s curtains as unique and as special as they need it to be by having them help you paint a plain piece of fabric together. You can go for abstract colourful splashes and blots or you can go for a themed design, depending on what your kid wants the curtain to appear like. You can ask them for recommendations about this and make it a bonding event for you and your tiny one. While you are decorating curtains, you could even have them tie-die them with you or have one of their favorite drawings printed on these plain bolts of fabric.
